GAME RULES

Football is regulated by 17 laws or rules, which are used universally, even within the same allow certain modifications to facilitate the development of women's soccer, children and seniors. While the rules are clearly defined, there are some differences in the applications of those that are due to several aspects. An important aspect is the region where it develops football game. For example, in Europe, particularly in England, the umpires stand out as being more permissive with fouls and violations, thereby reducing the warnings and expulsions, while in other places, for example in South America, the fouls are punished with cards more often.
The ground rules are defined by the International Football Association Board, a body of FIFA and the four associations in the UK. To approve an amendment thereto must be at least the votes of FIFA and 2 of the 4 votes from the associations in the UK.

FOOTBALL HOME

In the late Middle Ages and later centuries developed in the British Isles and surrounding areas different sets of equipment, which were known as codes of football. These codes were unified over time, but in the second half of the seventeenth century were the first great unification of football, which gave rise to football, rugby football, Australian football, etc. and sport is now known in much of the world as football, period.
In other parts of the world also played games where a ball was driven with his feet. Among them may be mentioned the Jesuit Reductions of Paraguay today, specifically in the San Ignacio Mini, in the seventeenth century, the region now known as Mission. The Spanish Jesuit José Manuel Peramas wrote in his book "De vita et moribus tredecim virorum paraguaycorum:" They would also play with a ball, which, although filled rubber was so light and fast that each time he was beaten, continued bouncing some time, without stopping, driven by its own weight. No throwing the ball with his hand, like us, but with the top of the bare foot, passing and receiving it with great agility and precision. "
The first British codes were characterized by few rules and for its extreme violence. One of the most popular was football carnival. For this reason the football carnival was banned in England by decree of King Edward III and remained banned for 500 years. The football carnival was not the only source of the time, in fact there were other code more organized, less violent and even that took place outside the British Isles. One game was the famous Florentine calcium, from the city of Florence, Italy. This sport influenced various aspects of football today, not only by their rules, but also by the party atmosphere that these games were played.

FOOTBALL

Association football, commonly known as football or soccer, is a sport played between two teams of eleven players with a spherical ball. It is the world's most popular sport.
The game is played on a rectangular field of grass or green artificial turf, with a goal in the middle of each of the short ends. The object of the game is to score by driving the ball into the opposing goal. In general play, the goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch the ball with their hands or arms, while the field players typically use their feet to kick the ball into position, occasionally using their torso or head to intercept a ball in midair. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. If the score is tied at the end of the game, either a draw is declared or the game goes into extra time and/or a penalty shootout, depending on the format of the competition.
The Laws of the Game published in England by the Football Association in 1863 remain the basis for the way the sport is played today. Association Football is governed internationally by FIFA which organises the World Cup every four years.
